Tracey designed this piece especially for a friend who loves kitty-cats! The focal bead is a single Denim Lapis bead, which she set in a sterling silver flower cap. Lapis Lazuli has been popular for thousands of years; its color led it to be highly prized by the Pharaohs of Egypt, and it has been beleived to be a ward against evil and a talisman of physical health. The kitty-face bead is one that Tracey saw and immediately fell in love with - she couldn't wait to find a use for it, and her friend's hairstick was the perfect occasion!
For the stick itself, we chose to use a piece of beautiful Fiddleback Mahogany. The stick was hand-turned to shape before we sealed it with a water-resistant semi-gloss coating, making it ideal for use in wet or damp hair.
As with all of our hairsticks, this piece comes in an elegant drawstring bag, making it an ideal gift to
pamper yourself with or to give to someone special. We believe that hair jewelry should be well protected and presented
just as nicely as other fine jewelry, so Tracey has set out to make the highest quality gift bags she can.
All of our gift bags are hand-made from plush black velvet, lined with a luxurious, rich purple bridal satin.
Each bag is custom-made to fit every piece perfectly, and finished with a sumptuous pair of silky tassels.
Everything has been hand-made by Tracey, all the way down to the perfectly matching drawstring cord. The finished
result is absolutely wonderful, and we think you'll be as happy with the gift bag as you are with our hairsticks!
